When you think of great singer/songwriters, and you coast to this era, you can’t avoid including the magic of Sam beam, better known as his stage name, Iron & Wine. Sam has an amazing sense of the classic style in his songs. His work with the Iron & Wine name started in 2002 with the release of his first album, The Creek Drank The Cradle. That album easily captured my attention with Beam’s Simon & Garfunkel-like delivery of “Lion’s Mane”. Of course, the rest of the album solidified that sound trust that begins with the first song.

Over the years, Iron & Wine has added reliably to his catalog with four more original albums (Our Endless Numbered Days – 2004, The Shepherd’s Dog -2007, Kiss Each Other Clean – 2011, Ghost On Ghost – 2013). With Kiss Each Other Clean, Iron & Wine caught the broad attention of a hungry public looking for great compositions with a beautiful delivery.

On August 25, Sub-Pop Records will release number six in the catalog of Iron & Wine with Beast Epic. The new album will feature eleven new songs. One of those songs, “Call It Dreaming” is available as a forerunner of Beast Epic (hear below). With this Iron & Wine album, Sub Pop will release it on CD, DD, Cassette, and vinyl LP (with DD rights). There will also be a 2LP Deluxe Edition that will offer bonus tracks (“Hearts Walk Anywhere”, “Kicking The Old Rain”, and three demos in “About A Bruise”, “Claim A Ghost”, and “Summer Clouds”). Those bonus tracks are ONLY available on the Deluxe 2LP edition,
