Many of us are Jam fans. Certainly, they ruled the roost in the ’80s. Eventually, their time came and expired by the leaving of Paul Weller, who shouldered most of the writing creativity for the band. Soon, Weller was in The Style Council and after that wore thin, Paul Weller pursued his solo career, a path he remains on to this day.

His last solo effort, Saturn’s Pattern, found it’s way to number 2 on the UK charts. Now, lucky fans have a new solo album, his thirteenth, on the way. With an essential ten-song track list, the new album promises to be a great blend of Soul, Jazz, Rock, Funk, Folk, and some R&B. As well, the album features involvement by Boy George, Madeleine Bell, and Paul Wyatt of Soft Machine. It’s no wonder we get excited. The new album is being called A Kind Revolution.

A Kind Revolution is being planned for a standard CD issue, with separately available DD, and vinyl LP. There will also be a Deluxe Edition that will be issued in a 3CD Box. The additional 2 CDs will offer instrumental tracks, and a set of remixes. The vinyl LP box will be issued on 10″ vinyl over 5 LPs, a track on each side. In addition to the special 10″ 5LP vinyl Box, there will be a standard gatefold 180g-weight LP of the original album.

All sets are expected in the US and UK on May 12 via Parlophone and Warner Brothers.
