Tucky Buzzard The Complete Tucky BuzzardI should be ashamed of myself. Incredibly ashamed. I was alerted to the impending release of a 5CD The Complete Tucky Buzzard Box, and yet it somehow slipped my mind despite the fact that I was a fan of the band. This band originated way back in the early ’70s, and is a definition of Progressive and Blues Rock. Of course, a band of this type would get my attention easily in the day. However, Tucky Buzzard only released five albums between 1973 before their demise. Some of you may be totally unaware of the band but that’s a bit of a good thing. Maybe by reading this and exploring, you’ll have a new band to enjoy.

This assist with this exploration, Edsel Records will be releasing the previously mentioned 5CD Box containing 41 songs. This collection will cover all five albums (Tucky Buzzard – 1971, Warm Slash – 1971, Coming On Again – 1972, All Right On the Night – 1973, Buzzard – 1973) including their first self-titled set originally released on Capitol Records and produced by Bill Wyman (you all know who THAT guy is, right?!) Why, you can even hear some Mick Taylor in their music.

The Box will feature all five albums, and a booklet that is filled with photos, notes, and memorabilia concerning the Buzzard. All albums are housed in a clamshell box. YAY!

The Complete Tucky Buzzard was released today (July 15) via the fine folks at Demon Music Group.
