Ramones RamonesThe Queens, NYC band, the Ramones kinda took the world by storm way back in 1976 when they released their first Sire album, Ramones. For many, their musical lives changed in direction, quality, and style. With such great tracks like “Beat On The Brat”, “Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue”, “Blitzkrieg Bop”, and “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” found on their magnificent debut, classic cover with the tough boy look, Ramones literally captured most people’s attention. Now, it’s been forty years – long years – since that first Ramones classic hit the streets.

On July 1, Rhino Records will revisit that first album with a Deluxe 40th Anniversary Edition. This Collector’s Edition of Ramones will contain 3CD/1LP and is being assembled by the original album’s first producer. Some of the content will provide a live set, as well as a collection of demo racks as bonus material.

Currently, there is little to go on other than the fact we’re gonna get this. I’m sure that there will soon be other versions of this momentous album like a 2CD edition. Perhaps even a standalone LP set. As soon as the full info is in, I’ll update this page.

Hey Ho!
