Music For A New Society CDThe brilliant John Cale has a wonderfully diverse catalog of music. One of those is the 1982 classic piece called Music For A New Society. It’s difficult to describe this album, just as it might be difficult to describe a lot of John Cale music. But the good news today is that it will be made available, once again, as a reissue!

On January 22, Domino Recordings will revisit the classic with a uniquely assembled expanded remaster as well as an attached NEW reinterpretation of the album, being called M:FANS.

The expanded original, with remastering being supervised by John Cale, will include three songs. One of those is a previously unreleased song, “Library Of Force”. The other two are outtakes from the original sessions (“Chinese Envoy”, “Thoughtless Kind”).

The new album will reconceptualize the classic with an updated set of ideas that poke into our new digital age. To complete this, John Cale newly records “Back To The End”, a lost track from the original sessions.

Music For A New Society/M:FANS will be available on 2CD sets, 180g-weight 1LP set, and a complete 180g-weight 2LP set. You can pre-order here!
