Geffen Records have a combination pack arriving for Appetite For Democracy, the live set from the current version of Guns ‘N’ Roses, that will include a 2CD set, a Blu-ray video, and a T-shirt. The Set is scheduled via Geffen Records, for October 27.

For all of those Bryan Adams fans who are salivating for the upcoming expansion of Reckless, his 1984 gem that gave us “Summer of ’69” there are multiple variations of of the album planned. On November 24, A&M Records will deliver a beautiful Box in their 2CD, BD-Audio, DVD, Super Deluxe Edition. They will also offer a stand-alone BD-Audio, as well as a 2CD Deluxe Edition, a 2LP vinyl set, and single editions of CDs. Have at ’em!

T-Boy Records have P.O.D. latest, an acoustic sessions set called, simply, The Acoustic Sessions, scheduled for November 11.

Suicidal Records have No Mercy – Widespread Bloodshed, Love Runs Red by Suicidal Tendencies, slated for release on October 27 on CD.

Eagle Rock will release a Rolling Stones From The Vaults series live set with Hampton Coliseum (Live In 1981). The set is planned for 2CD/DVD, 3LP/DVD.

On the reissue LP front, There will be re-released sets for Dummy by Portishead, planned for October 27 via London Records; three Nick Drake titles (A Treasury, Family Tree, Made To Love Magic) via Island Records on November 4; and Who Hits 50!, via Geffen, on October 27. Friday Music plans the 180g vinyl LP reissue of Soldier by Iggy Pop. it is remastered, and is slated for November 11.

Rhino Records have the delicious collection featuring the music of Captain Beefheart coming in November. Intended for November 11, the title, Sun, Zoom, Spark: 1970-1973, will be expected in a 4CD, and 180g 4LP sets. Much to love for Capt. Beefheart fans.

Elektra Records will revisit Gentlemen, the 1993 classic from Afghan Whigs, in a 2CD 21st Anniversary reissue set that features remastering of the original eleven tracks, with a bonus addition of seventeen tracks to round it out. The bonus tracks (see below) include a series of demo tracks recorded at Ultrasuede, as well as instrumental rough mixes of tracks, a series of B-sides, and three live tracks. Gentlemen is planned to street on October 27. The remastered version of the original album is pegged for LP on the same release date.

Afghan Whigs Gentlemen

On October 14, Audio Fidelity will reissue Pilgrim, by Eric Clapton on Stereo SACD, and a 5.1 Multi-channel SACD edition of Child Is Father To The Man, by Blood, Sweat & Tears.

Legacy Recordings will deliver a Legacy Edition of Muswell Hillbillies by The Kinks, with a planned date of November 10. The set will include extras like demos, alternate versions, backing tracks, and a radio spot.

Legacy Recordings will also release a 2CD, 40-track Essential series title featuring the music of Dean Martin. The Essential Dean Martin is slated for release on October 14.

Real Gone Music will release two BJ Thomas Christian-era albums 2-fers on November 4. The titles expected are Home Where I Belong / Happy Man, and You Gave Me Love / Miracle.

And finally, brought to your attention if you’re a Sad Café fan and don’t mind an imported title. On October 20, you’ll be able to acquire Live (from a 1980 show in Manchester’s Apollo Theatre), a 2CD set with sixteen performance tracks that include a “bonus” track of “I Believe (Love Will Survive)” from their excellent debut release, Misplaced Ideals (1978) that also contained “Run Home Girl”.  One of the standouts of Sad Café, Paul Young, went on to work with Mike + The Mechanics. Strangely, there is no “Run Home Girl” found here on this live set (WTH?).

    I sent you one a couple of days ago with the Rolling Stones release info but I wonder if it got there. There are supposedly two RS vault releases coming out. The one you mention from 1981 (Nov 4th) and another from 1975 (Nov 18th).
