If you’re a vinyl fan AND a KISS fan, then it should please you to know that Universal will reissue some of the band’s works on vinyl LP.  This will give fans a chance to update their vinyl libraries of music with the following titles: KISS, Hotter Than Hell, Destroyer, Alive!, Dynasty, Animalize, Lick It Up, Psycho Circus, Revenge, and Unmasked.  All of these titles are planned for March 18.  Start putting those coins away.

With the SACD titles ramping up from Audio Fidelity, it’s very interesting and cool to note that they will be releasing Billion Dollar Babies (Alice Cooper), Blackout (Scorpions), and a nice surprise with Olias Of Sunhillow by Jon Anderson on the hi-res format. All of these are expected on January 21.

  1. I’ll go for Olias of Sunhillow and hope Audio Fidelity can get their hands on some more Jon Anderson albums. Did anyone else get the Steve Wilson mix of Close to the Edge yet, or compare it to the Audio Fidelity version? Very vocally oriented mix, I can’t say I was all that thrilled with it and something of a letdown.

  2. I’m not overly impressed with ANY of the Steve Wilson remixes. Maybe expectations were too high. Anyway, does anyone know how AF select titles to add to their SACD repertoire? Is there a place where people such as us can suggest (or should that be nominate) titles?
